Dyslexia
Dyslexia is a learning disorder that causes your brain to have difficulty when processing new information such as reading, doing math, and even listening to conversations. There are many different kinds of Dyslexia, however, the bottom line in many cases revolves around difficulty with reading and writing. While this can negatively affect the execution of many tasks, it can also make it harder to learn and process new information. Some forms of dyslexia impact how an individual is able to pronounce words; this can force them to break large words into shorter fractions before being able to use complex words casually.
Dyslexia is a condition that is present at birth and cannot necessarily be cured, however, there are some steps that you can take in order to better manage your dyslexia:
Dedicate regular time to reading! Reading is an important skill and although dyslexic individuals may have to overcome more issues than those without it. Practice and patience are very influential variables in how dyslexia can dictate your life.
Try Typing! In the past, some people with dyslexia have found writing easier when done online with a keyboard rather than pen and paper. When using a tool such as a keyboard there are many more factors in typing you can personalize to alter the experience more for yourself to help combat dyslexia!
Therapy/Counseling! there are many different kinds of professional help that can be used in order to help better manage dyslexia! Not only could the involvement of another party help you feel that you have a companion in your struggle, but they can also help expand on your existing methods of controlling your dyslexia and even provide new techniques!
